On June 2, South Carolina Preparatory Academy (SC Prep), a tuition-free online charter school, held its graduation ceremony for the class of 2023. The event was an emotional and joyous occasion, celebrating the hard work and dedication of the graduates, as well as the unwavering support of their families, teachers, and staff. With over 100 attendees, the atmosphere was filled with a sense of accomplishment, pride, and appreciation for everyone’s efforts.
Celebration, Gratitude, and Appreciation
With 52 graduates in the class of 2023, SC Prep proudly bid farewell to an exceptional group of young individuals ready to embrace the next phase of their lives. The graduation ceremony honored their commitment, hard work, and intellectual growth. The foundation laid at SC Prep has prepared them for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. A Triumph Over Challenges
One of the highlights of the day was witnessing the remarkable success of several students who had overcome tremendous hurdles to achieve their high school diplomas. “Working hand in hand with SC Prep, the Restoration Project Foundation played a pivotal role in supporting these individuals.” The teachers and staff cherished the hard-fought victories of these students and the countless hours they invested to help them succeed.
A Noteworthy Speaker
Adding prestige to the ceremony, the South Carolina Superintendent of Education, Ms. Ellen Weaver, graced the occasion as the keynote speaker. Superintendent Weaver’s presence underscored the significance of the graduates’ accomplishments and provided them with valuable insights and words of encouragement as they embark on their next journey. Her address inspired both graduates and attendees alike. She left the graduates of 2023 with these words:
“So today go forward, be entrepreneurs of life in whatever pathway is before you, and know that we are so proud of you, so proud of your achievement and wish you all the very best.”
